Terms of service.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Frequentor LLC d/b/a Authyr (“Authyr,” “we,” “us”). By using authyr.com, app.authyr.com, a review page, or our emails and text messages, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

2. What Authyr is

Authyr helps local businesses collect reviews tied to a recorded visit. A customer scans a business’s QR stand or follows a review request, and leaves a review. A rough review (one to three stars) reaches the business privately first, with up to 30 days to make it right before it is published. Sealed reviews come with a signed receipt anyone can check.

3. Business accounts

• You must give accurate information, and you’re responsible for everything done through your login. Each login can run one business.
• You must own the business, or be authorized to act for it.
• You must be at least 18.

4. Rules for businesses

A review system is only worth something if it can’t be rigged. So, as a business on Authyr, you agree to:

• Not write, edit or submit reviews of your own business, or have anyone do it for you.
• Not offer anything in exchange for a review, or for changing or withdrawing one.
• Invite every customer, not only the ones you expect to be happy.
• Not pressure, threaten or harass a customer about their review. Messages in the private window are for making things right.
• Only text a customer who agreed to get a review link by text from Authyr, and never upload, import or text a list of numbers.
• Follow the laws that apply to reviews and customer contact, including the FTC’s rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules. Records that were already sealed stay as they are.

5. Reviews

• A review must describe your own real experience with the business.
• Don’t post anything unlawful, threatening or harassing, anything that exposes someone else’s private information, or anything that infringes someone’s rights.
• You keep ownership of what you write. You give Authyr and the business you reviewed permission to store, display, verify and share it as part of the service, including on the business’s pages and badge.
• A sealed review and its receipt become part of a permanent record. We can stop displaying a review when the law requires it.
• Authyr doesn’t verify what a review says. It records that the review is tied to a recorded visit, and that the review hasn’t been changed since it was sealed.

6. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe, at the price shown on our pricing page when you subscribe, and they renew until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• If a subscription isn’t active, or a payment is more than 7 days past due, new reviews and dashboard actions pause. Your existing records stay viewable, exportable and verifiable.
• Any refund offer is as described on the pricing page when you subscribed.

8. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Authyr. That includes:

• Scraping it, or using bots to scan stands or submit reviews.
• Getting around rate limits or security.
• Pretending to be someone else, including a customer.
• Interfering with the service, or using it to break the law.

9. Our property

Authyr’s software, design, name and logo belong to us. Parts of Authyr are patent pending. These terms don’t give you rights to them beyond using the service.

10. Disclaimers

Authyr is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We don’t guarantee any result, such as a number of reviews, a rating, or the outcome of a dispute.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Authyr won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll give notice on our sites or by email. Continuing to use Authyr after a change means you accept the updated terms.
